Probably Gonna Outrage Some......

So I just have to write about this...whole attitude of 'Americanism'. Now,it is not that this type of jingoistic attitude is not present in many other countries of the world never mind amoungst sub-groups within a country (religious, race etc etc etc).

Everyone at the end of the day is a human being. We all do pretty much EVERYTHING the same way. See the same way, gain sustenance the same way (down the throat, into the stomach, out the other end), dress the same way (one pant leg generally at a time) etc etc.

So why is it that people say things like 'we are not governing ourselves according to what we as XXX want'. If we are ALL human beings then shouldn't we all want and search for the same things? Like what you ask?

1. Equality for all
2. The ability for anyone to seek happiness as long as it does not injure/hurt another
3. Right to the basics of life (at least let us admit water and food and for me....basic health care)
4. Right to expect to be protected from abuse (abuse of women, abuse of children etc)

And a few others I cannot think of right now.

NO ONE culture or belief system is completely right!!! Knows the 'truth'.

Instead of arguing over what is taught in schools regarding some airy fairy agenda, why aren't we talking about the BASICS that all human beings in a technological society require:

1. Reading skills
2. Basic science skills
3. Basic mathematics skills

to name a few. The rest should be taught as a wide spectrum of what is out there in the world and allow the students to choose for themselves as they mature. Unbiased education regarding all the various things the human race has produced over the millenia.
